Prof (Mrs) Ebele Bridget UzoDike is the 6th child and the fourth daughter of Late Nze Ezechikwelu Benedict Osude (KSM) and Lolo Marcillina Osude of Ihuowerre, Ngo, Igbo-Ukwu in Aguata LGA of Anambra State. She is married to Chief Alphonsus Uzoma UzoDike and the marriage is blessed with six children. Prof (Mrs) UzoDike is a Professor of Optometry in the Department of Optometry, Abia State University, Uturu. She had served the University in different administrative positions, committees and panels such as Acting Coordinator, School of Optometry, ABSU (1998/1999), Head, Department of Optometry, ABSU (2007/2008) and the Deputy Provost of College of Medicine, Abia State University. She belongs to many professional bodies and had served in different capacities. Some of which are: Editor, Journal of Nigerian Optometric Association (2005-2012); Editor, Blindness and Low Vision Journal of Nigeria (2012 to 2015) and Member of editorial board, Journal of Health and Visual Sciences (1999 to date) amongst others. She was also, the chairman, electoral committee of Nigerian Optometric Association (NOA) (January-July, 2014) and chairman of Task Force committee and co-chairman Publication of the education committee of NOA (2014-2015). Currently she is the Registrar of the Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians Registration Board of Nigeria. Prof (Mrs) Ebele Bridget UzoDike had also made a lot of impact in the service of God and humanity; she has been a church warden since 2000, Pioneer leader, Divine Mercy Devotion, Holy Cross Aladimma (2002-2005), President, CWO St Mary’s Station, St Mark’s Catholic Church, New Owerri (2004-2008), “Nne Okwukwe” St Mark’s Catholic Church and Matron of Nigerian Students Optometric Association, IMSU, to mention but a few. She has numerous journal publications and other publications
